Find Your SAI

With this tool, students can find out how much federal student aid they may be eligible. Note: This tool estimates the Student Aid Index (SAI). This estimate doesn’t reflect the changes—accounting for inflation—to the SAI calculation approved in early 2024. For most students, this tool will provide a close estimate of their federal student aid.

Pell Grant

$7395 maximum award minus SAI, rounded to nearest $5. Some may qualify for a minimum award.

State of Illinois MAP Grant

Up to $8400. Award may be reduced with higher SAIs. Must have SAI under $9000 to be eligible.

Federal Loans

Up to $5500 for dependent and $9500 for independent first-year students may be offered in subsidized and/or unsubsidized loans. Additional loan increases may apply for students beginning with 30 credits or more.

Federal Loans

Federal Work Study/FSEOG

-1500 to 0 SAI, limited funding available. 

Work on Campus

PLUS Loans:

Parents of dependent students may apply after June 1 for an amount to help meet the cost of attendance and indirect costs if needed.
