Reinstated Student Program
Returning to college after academic dismissal can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. The Student Success Center鈥檚 Academic Reinstatement Program is designed to help students rebuild confidence, strengthen academic habits, and create a clear path toward success at Eastern Illinois University.
As part of the reinstatement process, students work one-on-one with a Student Success Center staff member to develop an individualized academic success plan. Through conversations, assessments, and goal-setting activities, students identify challenges and connect with strategies and campus resources that support long-term success.
Support may include assistance with time management, study skills, note-taking, test preparation, motivation, goal setting, academic planning, and connecting with campus resources such as tutoring, counseling, financial aid, career services, accessibility accommodations, and more.
The program is built around accountability, encouragement, and personal growth. By actively participating in their success plan, students can develop the tools and support systems needed to move forward with confidence and achieve their academic goals.
