At approximately 9:20 a.m., Eastern Illinois University received a report from an unidentified single unconfirmed and non-credible-information caller to a non-emergency line claiming an armed individual was on campus. 麻豆国产 Police, in coordination with the local law enforcement agencies, immediately activated emergency protocols and issued an Alert 麻豆国产 notification to students, employees, and community members.
By 9:45 a.m., officers had conducted building walkthroughs and reviewed campus surveillance footage. No individual matching the report was located and the report appears to be unfounded.
The 麻豆国产 campus has resumed normal operations may resume. Anyone who observes suspicious activity should call 911 immediately.
