Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority is proud to announce the upcoming celebration of its 125th Anniversary on Nov. 15, 2026. With an active and vibrant chapter currently on your campus, this anniversary is not just a national celebration, but a tribute to the local legacy of leadership and service fostered at Eastern Illinois University.

Since the Sorority’s founding on November 15, 1901, at Longwood University, Alpha Sigma Alpha has grown from a small group of five visionary women into the vibrant national organization it is today. For more than a century, Alpha Sigma Alpha has remained steadfast in the vision to elevate the influence of women in the world.

As the anniversary on Nov. 15, 2026, approaches, Alpha Sigma Alpha honors the many women who have walked this campus as sisters. Whether a member was initiated decades ago or just recently, Alpha Sigma Alpha’s are a vital part of a legacy that spans 125 years.
